DARTINGTON HALL GARDENS
Percy Cane (front left) with Dorothy Elmhirst and others, 1947Records of the Dartington Hall Gardens and Grounds Department, and of the planning of the renowned gardens at Dartington Hall are available for research. Gardens records include correspondence between the trustees and a variety of landscape designers including Beatrix Farrand and Percy Cane. The gardens cover 28 acres and were the special interest of Dorothy Elmhirst who kept daily garden journals during the many years it took to become established.
Gardens records also include original design plans and many beautiful photographs.
