LKE DEVON Rev Alec Edwards and Elmhirst Collection: Papers of Leonard Elmhirst 'The essential problem of Dartington is this, it had been for centuries an entirely feudal parish, and in 1925 it was violently disturbed by the arrival of a completely different social and economic idea.' Archive accumulated by Leonard Elmhirst relating to the County of Devon and the pre and postwar role that Leonard Elmhirst played in the running, employment, and development of Totnes, the South Hams community, and Devon as a whole. The records contain correspondence between Leonard Elmhirst and organisations and residents of Devon.
